It started by being a built up version called a grass cutter, with similar moves as the Octopus, it then became trailer mounted. Nicknamed the Twist due to its action it has now become popular due to its smooth and fun ride. It can be set up relatively quickly compared to its past predecessors. At night with its 7,500 lights it gives and impressive light show. It has a variable speed from 1 - 15 revolutions per minute in both forward and reverse. This allows some younger children the opportunity to ride this machine at a private party, where the operator would, upon special request, set the ride extra slow. Click here for more details Waltzer A popular ride, but mainly for the brave. We can adjust the speed to slow it down to allow families to ride. The favourite riders are teenagers upwards. The cars spin independently as the whole platform rotates. This waltzer features a light show which is out of this world. It has also been used for a lot of TV work and is definitely one of the best looking waltzers in the UK. Click here for more details The Ferris Wheel More commonly known as the Big Wheel, here at Premier Rides we can offer a choice of three different types, all based on the original. The original is well known and is 42ft high. A massive 95ft in height makes it the only travelling wheel of this size in Europe. Early booking is recommended, as it is a very popular ride. It has 16 cars holding 1 or 2 people. This particular one is decorated with a scene from the film Mad Max. As you can see riders sit side by side, and are moved either clockwise or anti-clockwise in a circular motion. The ride operator has full control over the ride, and makes each individual one as exciting as the riders wish. He can stop or reverse the ride at any point, and, through talking to the riders he makes the ride go faster or slower in accordance with their replied screams. It is similar to a maze, where you start at one end, and negotiate different obstacles, eg; moving floors, blowers, rolling barrels, and moving staircases etc. Good fun and suitable for all ages.
